The nice lady at the counter told me they ran out of decaf.

This will be me at 3am tonight.  🙂

Windy day.

It was exceptionally windy today. It reminded me of this quote:

“Adversity is like a strong wind. It tears away from us all but the things that cannot be torn, so that we see ourselves as we really are.”

– Arthur Golden

Hope is possible.

It’s new year’s eve. Many difficult things happened this year at home. At times it all seemed impossible but there’s always room for things to get better when we lead with the heart. This way for better or for worse, we come out stronger. Here’s to a new year filled with hope and happiness!

My new tuque. It possesses all the traits of a good friend.

Love is possible.

After a double espresso and a big piece of (awesome) Russian cake, I started thinking of how interesting that my cat sees the vacuum cleaner as a school bully. Come to think of it, they need each other so very much and they don’t even know it. Perhaps one day they’ll warm up to each other.

Passing time at an old place where I used to do just that.

I used to come here regularly when I was in school. The place hasn’t changed much. I wonder if I have though.

Just having a quick coffee before a production meeting for a commercial. In front of the window is the contemporary/urban version of a hitching posts. It’d be cool to ride around on a horse. It’s more organic.  🙂

Drawing on a napkin is comfort food.

Drawing on a napkin in a coffee shop is a way to relax.  All that’s needed is a beverage, a place to sit and a pen.  There is no pressure because after all, it is only a napkin that comes with your drink.  Doodling this way is mindfulness at its best, especially in times of stress and life’s challenges.
